The following terms and conditions apply for:

-Delivery of products (complete PC, components, peripheral units etc...)

-Set-up, trials, and installation (complete desktop computers, portable computers, components, peripheral units)

- Repairs of components of all brandsBy signing the order, paying the invoice or, on the Internet by choosing the “I accept” option located on or adjacent to the screen, you agree to the terms below.These terms and conditions are displayed in our shop and on our website and you can ask for a copy at our customer service. All our terms and conditions are valid, even if you do not consult them.

 

1.Customer’s obligation before purchaseThe purchaser has to assure himself that the ordered product or service meets his needs and expectations. If a feature (technical or commercial) is indispensable to close a deal, this should be accepted by ABBO-Informatique in writing, on paper or by email. Otherwise the purchaser cannot terminate the contract on the basis of oral informations given by our sales team, of informations found on our website or in a brochure etc. 

 

2.Offer, order and paymentOur products and services are available in our shop and by delivery to your home or company address everywhere in Switzerland. We do not deliver abroad. Technical details, photos and links should be regarded as being for information only. Technical specifications and/or content of delivered products can differ from data given by the manufacturer. ABBO-Informatique does not have control over these informations. Consequently, ABBO-Informatique cannot guarantee their accuracy, except if they are declared compulsory by written consent (paper or email). Any provision of service does only contain the exact items mentioned in our catalogue. Supplementary services can be provided after prior definition before giving the service order and will be billed. Our prices are with VAT, and in Swiss franks. These informations can be subject to errors and modifications. Prices can change without prior information. An offer or a confirmation of an order does not constitute an obligation to deliver the product. In case the price has increased in the meantime, the new price will be taken into account for the delivery. The purchaser can annul the order if he does not agree with these new conditions. An order is valid if it has been passed: on site, by phone, fax, internet or written. In some cases we might ask for the signature of the purchaser on the order confirmation to validate it. If ABBO-Informatique proposes modifications of the original order, the purchaser has the right to refuse and annul the order.Modifications after the order confirmation are billable.Payment options in our shop: cash, EC-Direct card, Postcard, prepayment.Shipping fees are to be paid by the purchaser. Delivery on invoice can only be accepted for bigger companies and public institutions.Payment options for mail order: prepayment.We do not accept foreign currencies.ABBO-Informatique retains title in the goods until full settlement. ABBO-Informatique can ask for an initial payment. If the products are not received by the purchaser or if the order is annulled, the initial payment is not to be refunded. Any annulment of an order has to be made by registered letter. The purchaser hast to pay the cancellation fees, which can amount up to 40% of the order.

 

3.Shipment and return rightsShipment dates are given for your information. If shipping is not possible within the indicated date, the purchaser has the obligation to inquire for a new date in writing or by email. The purchaser shall examine all products promptly upon receipt and notify ABBO-Informatique of all discrepancies, errors or if rejection is intended within five (5) days after receipt. ABBO-Informatique will provide you with instructions and you can return it, having taken good care of it, in an unused state, and in the original packaging. ABBO-Informatique may allocate you with a return code to be included with the package and indicate an address different from that of ABBO-Informatique to send it to.No return is authorized if the ordered products are not compatible with your material or if you ordered a wrong product, or in case of customized products.Software cannot be returned if the packaging has been opened.In case ABBO-Informatique is responsible for faulty delivery or errors which have occurred during assembly of a device, we offer the following customer service:

- Conform the device to its purpose again in a reasonable delay from receipt of the device.

- Deliver the correct item in the shortest delay possible in case of a delivery error.These services are subject to the above mentioned conditions.In this 2 cases, the termination of the selling contract, price reduction or a claim for compensation are excluded. Any damage due to transport is to be announced to the transportation company (La Poste, Die Post or private companies) within 5 (five) days.If the purchaser intends to return his products because of incompatibility, dissatisfaction or any other reason, our customer service will examine the request. This request has to be introduced within 5 (five) days of receipt of the products. Products have to be in unused state and in their original packaging. Assembled desktop or laptop computers, brand laptops, TFT-screens and customised products cannot be returned. Consumables or wear parts such as: toner/ink cartridges, drums, all kind of medium, software, etc. whose package has been opened are excluded from return. The customer service of ABBO-Informatique solely can determine if and under what circumstances a return can be accepted. The purchaser will be charged for this return and deductions are possible.Generally, ABBO-Informatique reserves the right to refuse to take back a product without indication of reasons.We do not deliver to a Post Office Box address. 

 

4.Guarantee  ABBO-Informatique guarantees all products for one (1) year against material deficiency. This guarantee is valid in the office and via postal service. If the period of guarantee granted by the manufacturer is longer than one (1) year, the purchaser can address his claims only to the manufacturer. ABBO-Informatique declines all liability once the year of guarantee has passed.Return of products has to be authorized and arranged with ABBO-Informatique beforehand. The purchaser shall contact customer service. ABBO-Informatique will provide return instructions and it can be returned, being taken good care of, in an unused state, and in their original packaging. ABBO-Informatique may allocate you with a return code which should be included with the package and indicate an address different from that of ABBO-Informatique to send it to.Any products returned to ABBO-Informatique without respecting this procedure will be send back to the purchaser at his charge.Here are the guarantee conditions on our website: http://www.abbo-informatique.ch/

Charges for sending or delivering faulty product to the office are to be borne by the purchaser. ABBO-Informatique has no liability for loss of data, travelling expenses, shipping charges, lost benefits or any other charges the default of a product or device may cause. This guarantee covers completely all desktop and laptop computers assembled and installed of our own brand, and spare parts and workmanship. If a computer is assembled by the purchaser, using spare parts ordered from ABBO-Informatique, the guarantee covers only exchange or repairing of the faulty part. Workmanship fees for assembly, installation, searching for the break-down cause, will be at the purchaser’s charge at our usual tariffs. Guarantee is excluded in case of outer influences such as: electric hazard, lightning, natural catastrophes, natural wear, changes or repairs undertaken by a third party, if used otherwise than for its intended use or used in contradiction to the manufacturers indications. Consumables or wear parts such as: toner/ink cartridges, drums, all kind of medium, software, etc. whose package has been opened are not covered by this except for delivery problems. The product has to be returned within 5 (five) days of receipt. For all products subject to a particular contract (such as: on-site guarantee, collect & return), the purchaser has to claim for the guarantee directly at the manufacturer’s service. The guarantee service means replacement or repair. ABBO-Informatique takes the decision which of these options is applicable in each case. Any other kind of claim, especially reimbursement, is excluded. Computers assembled in our workshop can only be repaired and faulty spare parts exchanged if the computer is temporarily brought to our office/workshop. For brand products and spare parts, ABBO-Informatique proceeds to a function test and sends the faulty device to the manufacturer or his business partners. If the product cannot be repaired or exchanged (e.g.: production stop), ABBO-Informatique chooses between the following options:

- Delivery of an exchange device (depending on the manufacturer); may differ from the original product.

- Replacement by a product with similar or better technical characteristics (which can consequently imply a supplementary price charge).

 The guarantee period is not interrupted or extended after exchange or repair. The purchaser is not authorized to mandate a third party to repair his product at the charge of ABBO-Informatique. 

 

5.Billable Services Any repair due to: faulty configuration, incompatibility between the components or to a problem not resulting from hardware deficiencies, will be at he purchaser’s charge and are not covered by guarantee. Returns of a product supposed to be deficient or incompatible with the software, when the problem cannot be found by ABBO-Informatique, or when the problem is due to n erroneous configuration will be at he purchaser’s charge. The complexity of interactions and the varying origins of components of a desktop or laptop computer are such that there can be no guarantee for an identical functioning, when a new product/component has been installed. It is hence possible that the re-installation of the operating system or any other intervention may become necessary to make the computer perfectly operational again. This service is at he purchaser’s charge.A fee of CHF 140.- is demanded from the customer for examination of the device before establishing an estimate of the costs for assembly, up-date or installation. This fee is kept by ABBO-Informatique even if the customer decides not to proceed to the repair after receiving the final estimate. In this case, the customer is obliged to take his material back or to pay for its correct disposal. If the customer accepts the estimate, the fee is deducted from the final costs of the work. Repair works, estimate fees and disposal service are to be paid in cash. 

 

6.Customer’s obligations after the purchaseThe purchaser has the obligation to use the product following the indications of the manufacturer and to maintain it correctly to secure its good functioning. He has to keep the bill, original packaging, handbooks and accessories. For repairs, a copy of the bill, original packaging and the precise description of the failure is indispensable. In case of loss of one of these elements, a fee of CHF 20.- is established for replacement. During the guarantee period, any failure or dysfunction has to be brought to our knowledge immediately, even if the device is still working partially. The dysfunctional product must be in our possession before the end of the guarantee period.

 

7.Final dispositionsGenerally, ABBO-Informatique does everything in their power to satisfy the customers and encourages you to bring feed-back and propositions. We are at your disposition by e-mail, fax or written correspondence. We do not respond to any threatening, slanderous, provocative, extortive messages or any other message subject to civil or criminal liability.

Subject to the Terms and Conditions set forth herein, any use of the website and all legal disputes arising in connection therewith shall exclusively be governed by Swiss law. Exclusive place of jurisdiction is Geneva (GE) Switzerland.
